DYCONEX AG expands its LCP capability |

| During the ‹Productronica 2005› fair DYCONEX AG and the Japanese base material manufacturer Nippon Steel Chemical Co. Ltd presents an article on High Density, High frequency Circuits using Liquid Crystalline Polymer materials. The paper describes the contribution of the material performance to the circuit functionality. A new family of 2-layer flexible copper clad laminates, based on the Liquid Crystalline Polymer (LCP) material is used for microcircuits, high-density multilayers and high-speed/high-frequency circuits. LCP offers a number of advantages for high end PCBs and packaging applications including outstanding electrical performance at high frequencies, extremely low water absorption and its natural ‹green›-ness, since it does not contain any halogen flame retardants or bromine compounds. |
